We did not want okno to be “the React CMS” or “the Astro CMS.” Content tooling should not pick your framework for you.

One plugin, many hosts

okno ships as a Vite plugin plus a tiny runtime. Wherever Vite builds your site, the editor can inject and your content imports resolve.

The editor is not the server

okno is the editing layer; you keep owning the build and the host. Deploy the static output anywhere — a CDN, Cloudflare, your own box.
